* YUNG IMAGE * BIOGRAPHY *

Thinking back to when he was a little boy, Brendon “Yung Image” always knew that one day he wanted to be in the music industry. Being raised by his father who exposed him to a lot of culture music and his two older brothers with dancehall and soca he knew it was for him, whether it was for artistic reasons or simply just for his love of music. Born on a little island in the Caribbean called Grenada, his musical influences were mostly soca and calypso music. Image always preferred dancehall and reggae music, though. Old school reggae artist like Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Steel Pulse, Maxi Priest, Shabba Ranks and Buju Banton are just a few to name.

His debut mixtape entitled “My Introduction to the World” allows listeners to indulge in his music while getting to know him. “My Introduction to the World” is lyrically ingenious with amazing production. The beats are a delicate blend of his Hip Hop, Reggae and Soca influences.

“My Introduction to the World” captivates its audience with memorable hooks and bass bumping beats. Cuts such as “Rude Boy Fresh” and “Trouble on the Dance Floor” show a keen ability to be playful and creative. “Rude Boy Fresh” is the ultimate swagger anthem. It combines Hip-Hop attitude and that relaxed Reggae feel. “Trouble on the Dance Floor” motivates the ladies to get loose and have fun. However, Yung Image is not a one trick pony. “My Introduction to the World” also gets very personal.

His single “Voices in My Head” is a deep, chaotic song that allows you to listen to a killer’s thoughts, but they are just that, vivid thoughts. These feelings were provoked by Yung Image’s father in his childhood. Image’s talents never cease to amaze on this compilation. In addition to a dozen original works produced by Da Collectiv, he shines on covers such as “Straight Gunshot” and the “Nuh Linga” remix. Image “owns” these riddims and almost makes you forget their forerunners. Get to know Yung Image! His music speaks for itself

“My Introduction to the World” is praised as a masterpiece by his colleagues, disk jockeys, selectors and producer DJ H. Blendz. If this is his introduction, we don’t ever want to say goodbye. Hello World, I introduce to you Yung Image!!
